Daily Duties at Westlake Financial:

- Managed of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Funding departments (up to 14 employees); oversaw their efficiency, set departmental goals/policies, provided performance reviews and coaching, and monitoring budgeted expenses . - Directly responsible for reviewing all daily outgoing A/P and funds, as well as monitoring all incoming funds. Responsible for reviewing/reconciling fee change requests. Assisted with the G/L month end close. Handle A/P and A/R journal entry reconciliations for month end close. - Led special projects for the Controller and CFO as needed. Most notably developed and maintained Asset Control Work Order spreadsheets designed to help control costs while maintaining output. Designed a new Purchase Order interface to help track POs more accurately, speed up the approval process, and minimize fraudulent opportunities. - Worked with multiple departments and sr. management to help with budgeting, trend, variance, risk, and cost benefit analysis. Organized, along with the finance, risk, asset control, marketing, and sales departments, committees, as well as task forces, to help increase intercompany communication between departments in efforts to improve cost efficiency. - Oversaw All A/P approvals and set up appropriate coding parameters as well. Approved and managed entire PO system
