Daily Duties at Family Counseling Center:
* Managed 165 volunteers; * Scheduler and Educational Trainer for both staff and volunteers * Coordinated and conducted monthly volunteer training for the Helpline and the Rape Crisis Center which included facilitaing intensive weekend-long training sessions, recruiting volunteer speakers; and scheduling mandatory, bi-monthly education sessions for all volunteers * Fundraising * Reasearched and wrote Grant Proposals * Community Outreach: Worked with community leaders -both business and civic - to promote our services and to build stronger relations within the community at large. Conducted a minimum of three "outreach"meetings each month with different groups within the area to promote our work, solicit donations, and to recruit potential volunteers *Writer/Editor: Wrote, edited and posted a weekly online newsletter, as well as a montly newsletter for both in-house and community-wide distribution * Media relations: Cultivated relationships with print and broadcast journalists; Successfully pitched stories to media outlets promoting the agency's work/needs
