INVESTIGATOR, SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT Allstate: Albany, Kingston and Fishkill offices, New York (8/95 through 8/02) Reported to NICB-NATIONAL INSURANCE CRIME BUREAU and worked as company liaison for government agencies, including the IFB-INSURANCE FRAUD BUREAU Maintained, coordinated and monitored outside vendors’ activities Headed up multi-million dollar task force that worked directly with state agencies to develop legislative changes Participated in key SIU public speaking roles, testified at trials, and regularly trained regional claims offices in areas of fraud and trial testimony CLAIMS SUPERVISOR Allstate: Albany offices, New York (8/93-8/95) Promoted to oversee high-volume casualty unit responsible for evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of serious injury claims for Northern New York region Managed a team of 12 employees; negotiated settlement awards to plaintiffs up to $250,000; and monitored all trial activity Responsible for a $5,000,000 annual budget; hired and trained new staff BODILY INJURY/ PROPERTY CLAIMS ADJUSTOR Allstate: Albany, Kingston and Fishkill offices New York (8/89-8/93) Handled all losses, including bodily injury and property damage claims from start to finish that included, but was not limited to, investigation, data analysis and subsequent litigation
