Daily Duties at Kniferiver Materials:
Review plans, specifications and prepare detailed cost estimates Manage subcontracts and change orders. Approve quantities and progress pay estimates. Prepare and provided RFI’s, submittals and construction schedules Contract administration Manage the daily operations of an asphalt paving crew Communicate effectively with agency inspectors, coworkers, and the public Direct all activities on asphalt paving projects including laydown, quality control, trucking and plant supervision Implement paving layout prior to paving for improved productions and efficiency Develop spreadsheets that tracked labor, equipment, and material quantities for day to day cost tracking Manage a wide variety of public, commercial, and residential paving projects that included interstate freeways, airports, sewer treatment ponds and driveways
