Daily Duties at Heartland Energy Development Corporation:
Acted as a representative/ambassador for Joe D. Kinlaw, Owner of a privately run Oil and Gas Company (Heartland Energy Development Corporation) and sister-consulting firm (Deerman Ltd.) Provided support concerning all business related matters, business management, and legal matters, as well as providing attention and personalized support to the Kinlaw family. Responsibilities regularly included making travel arrangements, organizing events and engagements both business and personal, managing appointments, calendars, and schedules, researching projects, keeping accurate and detailed records of accounts and other crucial documentation. Worked closely with accounting department regarding cash flow, accounting and budgeting. Managed administrative employees and sales staff, including hiring and firing. Directed communication and correspondence, working closely with attorneys involving legal writing, agreements, contracts, and reports. Handled mail, made reservations, planned conference calls, inter-office meetings, and special events, placed orders as necessary, answered/returned phone calls, ran errands as needed and always remained one step ahead of Mr. Kinlaw, his family, and their needs. Position was automatically terminated upon the sudden and unfortunate death of my boss and dear friend, Mr. Joe D. Kinlaw.
