Daily Duties at Cisco Systems :
While at Cisco, working as Mfg Ops Commodity Mgr for GSM, I was responsible for the continuity of supply for Memory components of Flash, S-ram, D-ram. Working directly with CM's and Program Mgrs, cases were created and escalated to me when gaps occurred within supply & demand reporting with Cisco’s CM’s. This entailed a due diligence investigation as to identifying the issue(s) within the gaps in the supply chain, while collaborating cross functionally with various groups; CM's, Purchasing, SUCM's, Business Units, Program Managers, Director of Materials, Suppliers, Manufacturers’, and Brokers in a participative effort to close the gap(s) within the CM’s supply and demand reporting. Attend two daily executive meetings to provide status of material. (Escalations are monthly revenue impact of 10mil or higher).
What they like about Cisco Systems :
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
