Daily Duties at The Nextrend, Inc:
Logistics and Transportation Manager Oversaw logistics and transportation operations for both the IT hardware service and internet retail division, including managing shipping, warehousing, receiving, transportation, technical service, and customer service. Supervised, managed, and trained an 18 member operations staff ensuring an understanding of established policies and procedures and verifying all goals were met. Managed all phases of the supply chain supporting the manufacture of a $1 million product line. Planned and coordinated equipment de-installation and shipping of surplus product from locations nationwide. Key Accomplishments: - Increased productivity 150% by applying KAIZEN theory to streamline process - Managed three inventory classes, including $5 million in retail inventory, $1.5 million in consignment inventory, and $1 million in surplus inventory; maintained optimal levels to meet operating needs. - Improved inventory accuracy 38% from 60% to 90% by designing and implementing a barcode ID and inventory tracking system.
