Daily Duties at United States Air Force:

OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM ANALYST Analyzed and evaluated information and source reliability from a variety of collection resources to include military and civilian databanks within the Iraqi Theater of Operations (ITO) and U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) to create timely intelligence products. Monitored and reported on political, military, and social developments in relation to governance, insurgency and terrorism within the ITO and its surrounding area of interest (AOI). Provided Deputy Combined Forces Air Component Commander (DCFACC) with predictive analysis of political, military, and cultural events within the ITO and its AOI. Coordinated with other agencies within the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division (ISRD) and throughout the ITO to identify targets and intelligence gaps/requirements as well as perform analysis in regard to the effectiveness of combat operations. Provided timely inputs to the intelligence situation in the Air Operations Directive (AOD) and the Joint Air Operations Plan (JAOP). Built analytical products to support the tactical war fighter and the Master Air Attack Plan (MAAP). Maintained databases and produced intelligence reports relating to current operations within the ITO and threats to air operations. Provided monthly threat assessments to Air Mobility Division’s Threat Working Group (AMD) for the production of regular Air Field Threat Assessments. Coordinated with Unit Support section to respond to regular requests for information (RFI) and analyzed surface-to-air fire (SAFIRE) incidents to determine type, severity and probable source of SAFIRE. Briefed field grade officer (FGO) preparing for short visits and high-level jobs in Iraq on the current ground situation tailored to their specific AOR. Created specialized products adjusted for the customers’ needs as requested. JOINT PERSONNEL RESCUE/RECOVERY CENTER (JPRC) LIASON Analyzed and evaluated information and source reliability from a variety of imagery, signals and human collection resources to include military and civilian databanks within the Iraqi Theater of Operations (ITO) with regard to the search for missing personnel within Iraq. Met weekly with JPRC personnel to discuss status of missing personnel and operations aimed at rescue or recovery. Reported new information and status updates to ISRD director and DCFACC. COUNTER-SMUGGLING ANALYST Monitored and reported high profile border activity within the AOI. Coordinated collection efforts and created collection requirements and requests along the Iraqi border. Briefed results to ISRD Director and DCFACC and collaborated with other agencies in counter-smuggling working groups.
