Developed policies and procedures for medical facility food service departments. Trained staff, including paraprofessionals, in the basic nutrition requirements of patients. • Created and presented seminars that provided continuing education credit for medical professionals. • Designed and implemented the first full-time college curriculum that enabled nutritionists to be certified as lactation consultants. • Developed and initiated the nutritional component of the Ryan White Program that is now used in HIV / AIDS treatment centers throughout the country. • Devised a quality assurance program for a medical facility that raised the rating of its food service from substandard to excellent.
