Daily Duties at Community Specialty Hospital:

Employed as the executive director of the non-profit arm of a specialty hospital, established by a for profit management company, to integrate existing community based services and to expand new programs to address health care needs in community. Managerial issues presented by the management company led to closure of the hospital on November 7, 2007, at which time I was asked to serve as the chief restructuring officer for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the non-profit. My skills and knowledge base immediately expanded to areas pertaining to hospital closure processes, inventory management, Medicare cost reporting, medical record storage requirements, and working in conjunction with the FBI, CMS, IRS, and bankruptcy court.

What they like about Community Specialty Hospital:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
