Developed start up strategies for new project, identified required tasks by project phase, prepared grant requests, sought key provider collaborators, conducted legislative advocacy and education, and established detailed timeline to implement the fourth Texas PACE model (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly) to be located in Dallas County. The PACE model incorporates health care reform concepts similar to medical home and accountable care organizations which target the significant health-care costs associated with dual eligible Medicare/Medicaid elderly patients.
