Daily Duties at Sony Music Entertainment:
As a two person department, served as the assistant to the Senior Vice President of Epic Associated Records, a distributtion label of Epic Records,division of Sony Music Entertainment. Prepared and issued recording authorizations and label copy for new record releases. Interfaced with artists' managers regarding scheduling of new music, video and concerts. Planned itineraries for new and established artists' promotional visits, booked travel arrangements. Coordinated promotional listening events for new record releases. Provided full administrative support to Senior Vice President, Epic/Associated label, including all executive correspondence, both internal and external, travel arrangements and expense reports. Screened incoming demo tapes for potential new music, referred on to the Senior VP. Represented label at all marketing meetings. Maintained promotional product. Served on dinner committee for music industry's T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research. Assisted in coordinating monthly luncheon meetings, sending out notices, ordering food; assisted in fundraising for and working the annual dinner dance.
