Daily Duties at Shepherd Of The Valley Healthcare:

Coordinate continued education of staff in current care practices, policies and issues to ensure proficiency of nursing care. Assist with development and maintenance of corporate/facility policies and practices. Educate residents and families of IDT goals and approaches for care. Assist in community education of current health concers, issues and available resourcers. Assist facility and corporate with developing appreciable and applicable plans of corrections related to survey inspections. Utilization Review Coordinator (therapies and Restorative nursing)Overview of nursing depratments including Restorative, Wound Care and MDS. Coorinationof Medicare/Medicaid, private insurance and privare pay admissions and discharges to/from hospitals, community and other care facilities. Coordination of falls/incident investigations including events requiring submission to state and local agencies. Monitor compliance of departmental budget. Maintain staffing of nursing department. Maintain care supplies for nursing staff use. Assist in coordination of Person Centered Care initiatives.
