Daily Duties at Ppl Corporation:
Senior management of PPL determined that a key goal for the company was to dramatically improve the entire corporate storm response process in order to better serve its customers, to improve its own internal operations and to better contain costs. I was chosen to lead this project by the Vice President of Field Services, and my major responsibilities were as follows: • Perform a critical analysis of PPL’s current storm response operations to determine major shortcomings and inefficiencies in the entire process • Work with field operations managers to identify problems and develop solutions in order to effectively and efficiently utilize material and human resources in the process of responding to storms • Develop and test new processes and tools to better manage PPL’s storm response and improve communications with their customers • Communicate the storm response improvement project status to senior management on a monthly basis and provide regular briefings at the operations levels as well.
