Daily Duties at Southeast Youth And Family Services:
-Intake paperwork for clients and their families. This includes gathering all pertinent social/cultural/psychological information of the family for effective treatment. -Diagnosis of mental health sickness and conditions with DSM IV manual to initiate treatment services. Plans include individual, family, and all individuals who play a role in the child's life. This can include teachers, probation officers, school counselors, and their extended family members. -Counseling and therapy sessions individually and with their family in accordance with their treatment plan. Total of 15 cases at any given time with requirement of 1 hour in both individual and family modalities. -Writing treatment notes to record progress and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed. -Participation in group meetings with other agency therapists to discuss, advise, and critique treatment plans of our cases. -Individual meeting with head mental health supervisor to gauge and advise on performance with each client. -Leading and supervision of children's trips and activities in the community.
