Daily Duties at Technica Corp:

Project manager in a PMO office environment supporting the DISA’s Military Heath Systems (MHS) community under the Office of the Secretary of Defense - Health Affairs branch (OSD-HA). Primarily responsible for coordinating the installation of various medical systems to interface with the AHLTA medical records repository system used for the military members and their dependents. Tasks included interpreting scope statement and charter, project planning, creating WBS and scheduling assignments, leading meetings, providing minutes and action items, coordinating project teams, updating schedules, and presenting status updates to senior management. Continually assigned to Congressionally Mandated and other highly visible projects supporting the war fighter. Program manager, project leader, administrator, and support engineer for the MHS Business-to-Business (B2B) Gateway program designed to allow (non DOD) dot com users into the DOD dot mil IP workspace and allowing secure encrypted connections into Military Treatment Facilities (MTF), hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and many other DOD enclaves and systems. Designed and implemented a disaster recovery system when management capability was lost to the primary firewalls. Provided onsite network operations, project management, and engineering support for the network support branch of the U.S. Secret Service (USSS). Designed and installed Ethernet and optical cabling facilities in a ten story building replacing the previous infrastructure. Developed and maintained documentation concerning physical connectivity for local and remote network sites, IP backbone network, and the server farm area via a patch panel system.
