Daily Duties at Florida Power & Light:

As Control Room Operator I operated two Fluidized Bed Combustors connected to a 50 Megawatt turbine with Woodward Controls.Directed Plant personnel to daily activities and supported co-workers with information and data to offset plant upset conditions. Acted as LOTO coordinator during outages and ensured a safe working enviroment for all on sight personnel. Analyzed boiler and water chemistry and recomended any corrective action. Received inventory reports and ordered as needed. Kept Electronic Logs and documented all plant activities. Conducted Reliability Testing on Plant Equipment.Maintained Boiler Stack emissions within EPA mandates.Transferred Fuel to various silos from fuel stockpile. Coordinated contractor activities and gave safety indoctrination briefings. Participated as a Safety Committee Member. Operated generator under peak and non-peak conditions and complied wih all NERC regulations.
