Daily Duties at Aker Shipyard:
Responsible for building commercial ships utilizing following skills: all welding positions using F.C.A.W and S.M.A.W. Also repair welds and ark gouging. Consistently successful in U.T., M.T., and X-Ray welding tests. Assist with training and orientation of new employees. Assigned employees daily position. Solved unexpected delays to job. Project management from introduction to completion. • Consistently completed projects as scheduled. • Brought projects running behind schedule to complete accurately and within scheduled time frame. • Acted as integral part in the organization of team assignments and team organizations. • Assisted in time management to accomplish projects on time while arriving to shop behind schedule. • Strategic planning of jobs. • Train new employee’s quality and productive procedures. • Act as liaison between management and employees. • Quality control and inspection of completed projects.
