Daily Duties at Philip Morris Capital Corporation:

Actively manage investments in portfolio segments to mitigate risk, preserve value and maximize gains of complex equity and debt investments in leveraged, single investor and structured lease financing. Asset Segments: Surface Transportation, Rail and Real Estate ($2B); Energy & Utilities ($1.2B); and Aircraft ($1.3B). Proactively monitor and review investment credit quality, asset values (residual/collateral), transaction structures and documentation terms to ensure investments perform and comply with credit approval. Perform comprehensive credit, asset, investment and document analyses, synthesized into recommendations for action and presented to senior management covering all investment risk and performance issues. Lead meetings with lessees and industry experts, and conducted site visits, inspections and due diligence to ascertain lease end intentions and ensure assets are used and maintained as required by documents. Analyzed financial statements, cash flow models, management projections, industry research and corporate creditworthiness, including conferring with rating agencies and industry experts to assess investment quality. Directed discussions and negotiations with lessees, co-investors, bankers, appraisers, counsel and other parties to resolve transaction issues (credit, structure, documentation, tax, accounting and legal) and preserve rights.
