Daily Duties at Stepan Company:

My experience has been in an entry level position known as "Engineer II, Rotational Program." The program is designed to expose graduate engineers to a variety of engineering roles within Stepan Company and then provide them the opportunity to find the one that is the best fit. Each role was expected to last approximately 6 months. The roles were Research & Development Engineer II, Project Engineer II, and Production Engineer II. The only position I think I need to elaborate on that is different in industry is the Project Engineer II position. In that role at Stepan the Project Engineer is responsible for doing the design work and getting budgetary quotations for major pieces of equipment. The project management is handled by a separate group altogether.
