Daily Duties at City Of Greeley:

• Direct all Windows Operations, Data Center, PC desktop and Server support for the City of Greeley. Supervise 6 IT specialists and manage Help Desk operations for the 1050-user environment Windows XP operating systems. Responsible for analyzing needs, planning implementation, and installing of new servers; determining upgrades for existing Data Center infrastructure; and developing and overseeing 3 department budgets (Client Services, LAN, Data Center) totaling $700,000, along with related vendor negotiations, purchasing activities, legal compliance and licenses. • Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. Responsibilities include researching, developing and implementing strategies needed to satisfy City’s information technology requirements and initiatives; collaborate with City agencies to develop their IT plans; work with all levels of management to present IT plans for approval; Establish and implement short and long range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Align IT objectives and programs to enterprise objectives and strategies and make recommendation for City’s technology direction. • Establish and maintain City’s infrastructure to support and guide individual division/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts. Responsible for all aspects of Data Center, including but not limited to monitoring security, backups, power, and physical environment. Member of the City of Greeley and Weld County Emergency Operations response team. As a working manager, am actively engaged in all aspects of technology within department.
