Cantrell and Dr. Daniel Peterson at Verizon on determining principle states of polarization (PSP) with the presence of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and polarization dependent loss (PDL) for optical fiber. Created optical fiber simulator using MATLAB to analyze fiber impairments. Used optical and Scanning Electron Microscope for observing scoring of optical fiber in UTD cleanroom.
