Daily Duties at United States Census Bureau:
Provide technical support to Local Census Office personnel. Duties include diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues with Local Area and Wide Area networks. Responsibilities also included documenting, testing and repair of Category 5 network cabling. Supervise daily activities of Technology Clerk. Provide support to Technology Clerk and to all other supervisors and data entry clerks. Responsible for planning, configuring and implementation for all Information Technology devices, including Desktop Workstations, High Speed HP Laser Printers, CISCO VOIP Phones, Fax machines, barcode scanners, Integrated High Speed Fingerprinting Systems, etc. Administrative duties include creating all computer users with confidential usernames and passwords. Communicated with Regional and National support teams to resolve production issues. Instruct office personnel in proper system operation and security systems procedures. Create documentation to support clerical staff with the entry of Census bureau data. Applications supported include MS Office suite and Adobe Professional.
