Daily Duties at Inland Mortgage Services:

In contract with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development the housing division known as FHA insured 1-4 single family home loans originated by private lenders. Nationally awarded contract covered one HUD office located in San Diego for all six years and another contract covered the Sacramento office for a one year period. One other person worked with me to complete the work in the San Diego office and the Sacramento office required three employees. Responsibilities included the review of loan files submitted to determine compliance with guidelines and documentation and the issuance of the certificate of insurance to the lender if the loans were acceptable. Additionally I contracted with a commercial bank to establish a mortgage brokerage department within the bank. Also I performed loan underwriting review for two different savings and loan associations and established an FHA & VA loan insurance guaranty tracking system for a large mortgage banking company. I also brokered residential loans to sholesale departments of major residential lenders.
