Daily Duties at Tostevin Accountancy Corporation:

• Partner-In-Charge of one office, in a two office Public Accounting Corporation. As such, I was responsible for the final review of all tax returns that went out of that office. • Supervised and coordinated a twelve staff accounting department in two offices and responsible for the final review of all financial statements produced for clients out of both offices. • Built a cooperative and respectful atmosphere, empowering staff to develop problem-solving skills and feel comfortable in asking for assistance. • Prepared budgets and financial forecasts for clients planning their growth and reviewed, supervised, and corrected similar items prepared by our staff for clients. • Suggested and implemented changes to decision-making processes which increased company productivity. • Analyzed and adjusted general ledgers of clients in order to accurately report financial information. • Utilized job cost system for the accumulating of time and costs for each client project and was responsible for the final billing of a major portion of the client monthly billing. Also participated in the evaluation and implementation process of upgrading this system. • Performed and managed certified audits for small and medium-size companies, including the review and implementation of internal controls designed to safeguard company assets. • Improved financial reporting process, saving the company $100,000 a year in staffing costs. • Completed tax research and tax planning projects for the purpose of paying the lowest possible Federal and State taxes. • Prepared and reviewed federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, tax-exempt organizations, partnerships, and corporations.
