Daily Duties at Allergan:
Clinical Research Associate/Senior Clinical Research Associate (Jul. 1988 – Jul. 1991) Initiated and managed clinical trials of glaucoma treatments, (ß-adrenergic receptor agonists and -adrenergic receptor antagonists), development of clinical protocols, coordination of manufacture and shipment of clinical supplies. Development of preliminary interpretation of the clinical trials results. Development of final study reports. Research Microbiologist (Aug. 1985 – Jul. 1988) Planned, performed, and evaluated general research and specific microbiological procedures, such as preservative efficacy tests, disinfection efficacy tests, sterility tests, disinfection of contact lens devices, sterilization processes, and endotoxin tests. Designed, performed, and analyzed media efficacy and non-toxicity tests to determine appropriate neutralizing systems for antimicrobial agents. Prepared stock cultures of fungi and special cultures for contact lens work, maintenance of Allergan culture collection by lyophilization and freezing of cultures.
