Daily Duties at Runnerless Knits:
Total plant responsibility, consisting of Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing stretch fabrics for the Swimwear and Outerwear markets on both East/West coasts of USA. Company exports to Mexico, Israel, Canada, world-wide. (80 to 100 employees and managers) Involved with designing and producing Compression Fabrics for the Medical Industry. Yarn types processed are Nylon, Poly-cotton, Spandex, as well as fabrics with blends and mixed yarn types. Responsible for design, develop, and building automated machines to enhance efficiencies in the Production Process. Responsibilities include all functions – Design, Human Resources, Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing, Costing, Process Designs, Design and Construction of Processing equipment; also, Production Planning, Shipping, Raw Materials purchases, Settlement of Claims, Sales, and promotion of Products manufactured. ( JUST-IN-TIME AND S.P.C. DRIVEN ) Conduct Microscopic analysis of fabrics and yarns, as well as, New Product Development. Acquired new Upholstery Fabric Finishing business, Jacquard Pre-dyed yarns, Teflon Coatings and Puffing processes, resulting in higher profits for the Company . Responsible for acquiring new Commission Processing, as well as, Knitting and Dyeing of Compression Fabrics for medical applications. Acquired commission dye and finishing of jacquard fabrics for Volvo truck (tractor) seat cover and interior fabric. Including testing for all necessary durability requirements.
