Coordinated and led all aspects of respiratory care services for 2 hospitals: long-term acute facility, BayCare Alliant Hospital, and Dunedin Hospital; included, but not limited to, Emergency Department (ER), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Medical Surgery Unit (MedSurg), Operating Room (OR), and Recovery. Mentored and directed Pulmonary Function Lab, Blood Gas Analysis Lab, 2 department clinical coordinators, and up to 30 respiratory therapists. Drove continuous service, efficiency, and performance improvements. Updated policies and procedures (P&Ps). Administered and ensured adherence to capital and operating budgets. Maintained compliance with all regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission (JC), Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Action (HIPAA). Addressed and resolved business concerns with Medical Directors and pulmonologists.
