Daily Duties at Apex Buiilding Products:
Directed all business operations including P&Ls, vendors, capital assets, human resources, purchasing, accounts receivable, warehousing, project scheduling and logistics, contracting and subcontractors. Managed 50 employees including a controller, branch managers, sales manager, outside sales staff and warehouse workers. Supported 650+ customers and 55 vendors, and maintained 4,500 line items. Expanded operations to two locations and sales in PA, NJ and NY. Executed strategic sales initiatives to dealers, created business and sales collateral, and targeted advertising campaigns. Trained sales managers and staff in customer need assessment, solution sales and strategies, and customer satisfaction. Guided warehouse workers in proper layout and storage of line items.Orchestrated the profitable sale of the company to Morgan Wholesale in 1999. Subsequently managed multiple site operations, warehousing, purchasing, and data processing integration for three years. Managed purchasing for both Apex Building Products and Morgan Wholesale after the buyout of $15M combined inventory.
