Daily Duties at At&T/Cingular:
Network Control Engineer: Tier 3 escalation point and provided support for all AT&T National wide Mobile Consumer Voice Services including, Conducted fault analysis and trouble isolation with a focus on network element interaction, network Statistical analysis, call trace data evaluation, handset testing, billing analysis (CARE and Telegence), and utilization of Engineering tools and automation • Troubleshooting issues involving multiple 2G/3G wireless services voice, utilizing various tools (Remedy CTS, Snooper; Snap A Watch Report (look at real-time alarms, historical data based on alarms and map those outages), ProComm, Winfoil, Hummingbird, MTI, CARD, SmartTrust (OTA), SS7 (registration / authentication), Snooper, SOA, CDRLive. • Providing high level technical support to end users and field operations personnel through a working knowledge and broad background in Routers, Gateways and SS7 network. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting service impairments related to roaming (domestic and international), network hardware & software faults (both switch and cell) , Translations & Telco routing issues, network routing issues, coverage issues, SS7 links, authentication, feature functionality • Driving issues to resolution by engaging internal and external resources such as NOC Technicians, System Performance Engineers as well as equipment vendors and service providers
