Acting as the company’s principal strategy officer, oversaw preparation of all strategic issues for the company and personally conducted semi-monthly closed strategy meetings with the company’s Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer regarding core vs. non-core assets, new business units, M&A, company policies and procedures, and enterprise risk management (group of 4, including myself, constituted the Strategy Office of the President); executed the company’s corporate strategy by leading, advising, and actively managing all mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for the corporation; conducted the company’s semi-monthly risk management committee meetings; developed company-wide enterprise risk management system and oversaw system implementation.
