Daily Duties at Sands Point Center For Health And Rehabilitation:

• Direct and oversee this 5-star, 180-bed skilled nursing facility, which is within the Top 10 nursing homes in New York • Interview, hire, manage and train 250 in-direct reports; delegate responsibilities, evaluate performance, set schedules and mediate conflicts; prepare budgets and forecasts with full P&L responsibility and reporting requirements • Manage day-to-day operations, resolve union matters while staying in compliance with state and federal governing laws • Review and analyze financial reports as well as reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid and private pays • Monitor various service provider programs, ensuring programs are managed properly, strategic plans are developed that resolve conflicts as well as implementing solutions for future reference • Direct facility in providing a full scope of billing functions, including payment arrangements for private pay clients according to established procedures as well as ensuring timely billing and collections for anticipated revenue • Oversee that payroll is processed and timelines are met for submission to corporate office • Monitor contract compliance with vendors, provider groups and affiliated entities while preparing for DOH state surveys • Implement and manage standards, including establishing benchmark measurements and tracking systems, and initiating process improvement for areas that are below compliance level, including processes that reduce overtime and unnecessary expenditures • Act as point-of-contact regarding business-related concerns for staff, including clients, medical facilities, physicians, insurance companies, state and federal agencies, attorneys, accountants and pharmaceutical companies
