Daily Duties at Westlake Ace Hardware:

Oversaw development of 40 weekly sales circulars in 43 newspapers in 24 markets driving comp store sale from 1% to 3% over a 3 year period and total store sales to over 5% against increased competition.  Promotional Analysis-by product, week, season, promotional vs. regular sales and production costs. Identify each promotion ROI & promo sales: $45M plus $35M regular sales annually  Coop Income by event increased 40% over 10 years, $4.5M annually  Newspaper Rate Control - controlled insertion cost under 3% annually  Print Cost Negotiation - managed print cost under 2% annually  Budget Management - under budget every year • Developed and managed the execution of annual marketing campaigns with budgets in excess of $8.2M including TV, radio, print, outdoor, fleet, direct mail, internet marketing and yellow pages. • Generated over $4.5M in co-op advertising income partnering with merchandising and suppliers, a 250% increase over 5 years. • Member of Ace Corporate Marketing Advisory Council, the 18 member group is responsible for guiding the corporate strategy for Ace’s national marketing and for Ace dealers nationwide to use in their local marketing efforts. • Executed a complete overhaul of the corporate web site including: Project & Solution Section, Find Your Local Westlake with locator map, Weekly Ads, Purchase Gift Cards Online, Featured Brands Sections, Monthly Rebate Offers & Tips and Tips from Toby Tobin. Site was launched in June of 2007. • Grand opened 32 new stores over 9 years; the most in company history. Responsible for all aspects of the Grand Opening from strategic planning through execution and promotions management at the opening.
