Daily Duties at Department Of State/ Federal Management Systems:
Provided support to Department of State contract. Searched all incoming Department cables for HR action cables, which I subsequently flag for the appropriate action officer. Manage files of announced job vacancies, internship applications, and official documents such as SF-50s and SF-278. Ensure that all new employees fill out and submit the necessary forms, sends evaluations to the review panel, and sends out the phone list every month. Awards Program; Receives, reviews and provide management with suggested changes for all nominations including performance based awards to ensure that the nominations will be approved by the committee; Advise management on the appropriate forms and procedures according to the 3 FAM in order to issue monetary awards; Reviews justification and citations (written by managers) for accuracy and completeness; Gathers pertinent information from management in order to determine the basis for administering awards; Coordinates Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) panels in order to establish an award committee; Ensured that the performance awards were forwarded to the budget office for approval ; and that all awards were forwarded to payroll and processed in a timely manner.
