Daily Duties at Walmart:
Currently managing 88 associates. Conducting hiring, termination, and promoting processes on a daily basis. Writing and conducting performance evaluations. Working with confidential information including associate medical files, and personal information, social security numbers, work history, pay history, home addresses, tax information. I consistently meet deadlines throughout the store daily making business decisions that are best for the customers demands and associates needs, while putting company policies and procedures into place. Setting the best example with highest moral possible. Daily I am required to thoroughly look and compare sales from the previous year to the current year and determine the best and smartest solutions to effect sales. Weekly I write schedules for 15 of the 88 associates in my facility, approving vacations and requested time off. I also ensure all schedules are adjusted and communicated to all associates affected, while also communicating to all manager throughout the store. Daily I count company deposits in the form of cash, check, coin, money orders, payroll checks, state issued checks, in high amounts up to $500,000. Drive store experiance by encouraging Associates to identify and communicate ideas that will improve the products and services provided to local customers, such as in the front end or on the sales floor, so I can teach them how to take action and implement these ideas. Anticipate external factors such as weather, gas prices local events and use this information to plan for customer traffic and sales volumes. I apply information about competitor prices, products, displays and change my initiatives to upgrade knowledge related to my own functional areas. Everyday I model and teach associates how to develop and demonstrate new ways to provide a convenient safe, and pleasant shopping experiance for customers. Daily I challenge associates to identify and apply methods for resolving customer complaints and assist them in addressing complex issues. Everyday I communicate solid working knowledge of merchandising products, equipment, and procedures. I monitor merchants timelines and make sure they are met for products, fixtures, displays, modulars, layouts, and floorplans. I make sure merchandising operations and store standars are met with the company's standards and customer expectations. Everyday I identify and apply policies and procedures to make informed judgments. I have to identify and use facts, information and my expertise to set my priorities and make informed decisions when handling the causes of problems to develop solutions and address them. Daily I review customer focused data to adjust store preformance to meet the needs of customers, and bring in new customers. I promote and support associates efforts exceeding customer expextations.
