Broward General Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl-Full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist at this large county hospital serving the needs of Broward County with a population of 3 million. Busy Nuclear Medicine Department with over 8 technologists. Performed clinical diagnostic nuclear medicine testing, including general studies, cardiac studies and the computer interactions associated with these studies. Utilized appropriate techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images. Quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals. Performs procedures that require independent judgment, and initiative in applying prescribed techniques for the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease processed in physician referred patients. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures. Required a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Computer skills required. Completed work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
