Responsible for conducting virtually all of this office's design work; also provided project planning and construction documentation for a variety of facilities. Most of this firm's work was conducted under contract to either the U.S. Army or Navy, and local K12 schools. Duties included: â–  Designed building plans mainly for public and institutional facilities such as schools, sporting venues, and day-care centers. â–  Evaluated overall building program and proposed necessary changes to achieve most cost-effective and efficient design. â–  Ensured all plans, zoning, materials, etc., met all statutory and institutional requirements. â–  Conducted on-going liaison/communications with clients, engineers, local officials and other involved individuals and organizations regarding the project's status and development trends. â–  Planned and proposed master plans designed to allow for, and even forecast future change, as well as to provide specific phasing in of those changes whenever appropriate. â–  Presented finished graphic designs for final approval to client. â–  Assisted in marketing the firm's services. â–  Supervised two entry-level architects. â–  Attended professional conferences and meetings.
