Daily Duties at Peters And Associates:

Responsible for providing project design, planning and construction document preparation for most of the projects in the office, and supervising staff of 2 in a small office of 5. As a Registered Architect I worked on several assisted living, senior housing, and nursing homes. I was involved with each project from concept inception all the way through construction document, specification and construction site visit. Most of the constructed building projects were located in Iowa and Nebraska states. All work was done using Auto-Desktop and Auto CAD 2000. Other software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop were used often. Duties included: â–  Designed overall building plans, elevations and unite layout of each room for multi story residential. â–  Ensured all plans, zoning, health, safety and welfare building codes were in compliant with all elderly institutional code requirements such as ADA Americans with Disabilities Act. â–  Conducted on-going liaison with clients to ensure accurate design criteria utilized in all projects. â–  Presented finished designs to clients. â–  Supervised two staff members on different projects. â–  Coordinated projects with other engineering disciplines to verify projects requirement. â–  Participated in business development effort. â–  Provide a number of design options for individual projects to ensure the widest range of choices for the client.
