Daily Duties at Accenture:

May 2004-June2005 (Accenture) Clien1: This project enhanced the electronic eligibility processing system of client1 through a series of toolset upgrades, operational control reports, functional/Performance and scalability enhancements Role: Lead Application Architect -Lead the analysis and design phase of tuning / enhancement release of the electronic eligibility processing system. -Lead the tuning initiative and identified the bottleneck for the back-end EJB system -Conducted design review sessions -Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for the different enhancement release initiatives -Worked with senior developers and managers of other business units to identify the impacts of new business requirements -Evaluated the Struts framework and presented a paper to upper level management on whether to use Struts or the in house MVC(model view controller) framework -Refined the code migration process -Created the performance test tuning plan for the Web application -Reviewed the java/servlet/EJB/Data access code for cleanness, maintainability and architecture compliance -Mentored the junior developers about best practices of J2ee development -Because of resource constraints, took the additional responsibility of designing, developing a new Front-end and back-end service component -Worked closely with the client off shore resources and helped them out in resolving critical production/post implementation issues August 2003-April 2004 (Accenture) Client2: This project enhanced a billing and accounts receivable system of client 2 through a series of Functional, Performance and scalability enhancements Role: Application Architect -Lead the tuning initiative for the bill presentment portion of the application and identified the bottleneck for the back-end invoice retrieval system -Worked with Checkfree (the bill presentment vendor) to create a new set of API's to alleviate the performance issues -Managed to scale the application by incorporating a custom paging logic to retrieve large invoices -Architected, Designed and implemented the custom paging logic -Closely collaborated with IBM and Checkfree Architects and identified the right Physical Architecture/Topology -Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for the different enhancement releases of the billing presentment application -Reviewed the java/servlet and Data access code for cleanness, maintainability and architecture compliance -Participated in the upgrade initiative (From Websphere 3.5 to Websphere 5.1) -Lead the deployment of the enhanced j2ee 1.3 compliant application into the production environment April 2002-August 2003 (Accenture) Client3: Using a rules engine, web tools and custom coding, Accenture developed and deployed an electronic eligibility processing system for client 3.This system provides solutions to improve the timeliness and processing efficiency of eligibility data. This capability includes two primary components: Electronic, business-to-business, eligibility processing; and a web based exception handling solution. With each of these, the goal is to provide customers with the tools and information necessary to manage their accounts and data, thereby reducing the administrative requirements Role: Application Architect/Tech Lead/Lead Developer -As an application architect, I was responsible for leading the development cell through all facets of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) from the use case modeling phase through the analysis modeling phase and further through the detailed design, build, unit test and assembly test of the web based application. I was also responsible for maintaining a team short-interval work plan to manage the work. -As a lead developer my responsibilities included coding and unit testing java, jsp, servlet,ejb, jms modules. -As a lead designer, I was responsible for creating detail designs for the different business requirements. January 2001-March 2002 (Accenture) Client4: Accenture worked with client4 to create the technologies that enabled client4 to pilot a new product. This included the development of web application functionality, the data and technical architectures, and the testing of the web application. Role: Lead Developer and Designer for the web Application team. -As a lead developer, my responsibilities included coding and unit testing online and batch modules using ATG Dynamo, Java, JDBC, Sybase and perl on a unix and Windows platform. -I was also responsible for reviewing all developers code and unit test conditions to ensure these components met the Project standards. -I also lead and supervised six developers and helped them with their programming tasks, setting up the development environment and trained new developers with the development architecture and processes. In addition, I was also responsible for identifying, assessing and resolving complex issues related with the technical and/or application architecture. -As a designer my responsibilities included creating detail designs for different business requirements, ensuring the detail designs and code developed were in accordance with the business requirements, preparing a complete design and developer documentation and creating the component models for the batch and online modules of the application. I also participated in designing the data model.
