Client: NASA and North Carolina State Government - As a Business Systems Analyst April 2001 – September 2003 Responsible for requirements gathering and implementation of the web-based e-catalog and the Provance Seat Management System (Provance) on the NASA ODIN and state and local Government contracts. Met directly with internal and external customers of various levels to gather system and business requirements by conducting one-on-one meetings and group brainstorming sessions. Managed bi-monthly Change Control Board meetings with the field sites for the e-catalog and the Provance system to prioritize change requests from the customers and define the necessity for new procedures. Tracked and managed action items by using an Action Tracker tool in MS Access, and interfaced with the technical team during development in order to effectively implement approved Change Requests. •Facilitated weekly meetings with internal PMO and vendors to discuss status and new requirements as defined by the customer. •Coordinated developers, subcontractors, and cross-organizational teams in the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of web-based e-catalog and the web interface for the Provance system. •Developed and managed the project schedule and additional releases using MS Project. •Designed and developed essential system operational documentation including user guides, test plan/procedures, and a system implementation plan. •Developed and provided training to internal and external customers through webcasts, live demos, and written procedures. •Streamlining the business processes across the NASA centers by analyzing current processes and creating a “Best Practices” document. •Developed screen and report mock-ups for Provance and the e-catalog for the developers, and NASA centers. •Created ad-hoc report requests from the Provance system, as needed, using SQL scripts, Toad, MS Access, and MS Excel. •Presented and marketed the Web-based applications of the ACS Seat Management solution to proposed new customers. •Designed and developed business requirements for new business requested functionality As a Financial Analyst August 2000 through April 2001 Responsible for managing an accounting staff. Provided Revenue, Expenses, Profitability, and Gross Margin financial analysis to upper level management. Analyzed contracts and financial statements for the monthly revenue, forecast vs. actual, and provided detailed explanations to upper management regarding variances. Supported Project Managers and a Contract Administrator with information on rates, invoices, payments, funding, and any other information pertaining to contracts. Worked on special projects as assigned by the Business Manager such as attrition rate analysis to defend various Government contracts, lost revenue analysis due to subcontractors not filling positions, analysis of subcontractor hours accrued vs. billed, etc. •Analyzed the results of business operations for profitability and trend analysis. •Prepared and presented monthly financial reports and reviews for upper management. Analyzed contracts and financial statements for the purpose of weekly and monthly revenue forecast data versus actual. •Analyzed the results of business operations for profitability and trend analysis. As an Accountant March 1999 through August 2000 ch 1999 through August 2000 Responsible for analyzing Billed and Unbilled Accounts to create Revenue Adjustments and Variance Reports. Created divisional financials of $3 million, incorporating other individuals monthly reporting. Assisted internal, external, and DCAA auditors with information requests to facilitate ongoing audits, and designed and implemented MS Access Financial Tracking Relational Database for invoicing purposes. •Created and downloaded PeopleSoft queries to extract Salaries and Other Direct Costs to populate a self made database. This tool saved ½ day of work during month end close. •Assisted in 2001 budget preparation and 2000 budget variance analysis for contracts. •Prepared monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
