Daily Duties at Avery Dennison Shared Services Center:

• Duties consist of serving as member of a diverse and multicultural financial implementation team to assist other business units within the organizational structure to convert from their existing general ledger legacy system to PeopleSoft financials; • Public Speaking: Meeting with Financial Directors and representatives of business units not on PeopleSoft to provide general ledger overview of PeopleSoft; • Reviewing and analyzing financial reporting and business requirements of business units not on PeopleSoft to integrate these requirements within PeopleSoft; • Reviewing and translating chart of accounts for business units for mapping to PeopleSoft; • Mapping legacy chart of accounts of converting units to PeopleSoft; uploading and testing legacy general ledger files for conversion; • Reconciling financial data uploaded in PeopleSoft to financial data in Hyperion Enterprise management reporting system; • Documenting and publishing accounting policies and procedures for reconciliations and other accounting processes done within PeopleSoft in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley; • Assisting with system testing within PeopleSoft for conversion purposes; • Conducting PeopleSoft training and participating in team building projects such as developing intercompany accounting procedures; developing and maintaining general ledger work instructions and training materials. • Identifying general ledger business process improvements and implementing as appropriate • Assisting the General Ledger dept. with production support issues and month-end close; • Partnering with Shared Services Center (SSC) process owners and staff to ensure design for conversion is consistent with global standards and effectively transition post production support to the Help Desk and SSC Customer Care; • Acting as Business Unit Coordinator • Working with the technical team to resolve general ledger issues; design file format for general ledger interfaces, and to resolve upload errors during general ledger conversion; completed People Tools I and II training in Cork, Ireland.
