Daily Duties at Candlewood Suites:
Develop and maintain revenue generating plan and sales budget • Increase revenue from market segments and key accounts • Help coordinate yield management with the GM and OM • Prepare weekly sales meetings • Rigorously follow up with all leads in timely manner • Identify referrals and send cold leads back to the lead generation group • Focus on the proper mix of business for the hotel, focusing on 7+ night stays • Penetrate and saturate customer organization to do department selling • Complete weekly sales call reports and maintain ACT. • Network with prospects to uncover other decision makers • Establish and maintain close contact with accounts • Assess future and current needs of the guests • Maintain and back-up computer sales files and trace system of accounts • Develop team member attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of the guests needs • Assist the GM in resolving guest complaints that are of concern to the sales team • Maintain an active and visible position in the local community and industry • Participate in community activities, team member functions and guests events • Responsibilities also included the interviewing and hiring staff , training , planning, scheduling, delegation of responsibilities and activities, and annual performance evaluations • Coordinate the grand opening of Candlewood Suites. • Was instrumental in document preparations, information management and presentations in obtaining all construction permits. • Establish and maintain a track record of 80-100% occupancy rate, generating sales from zero to 1.5 million for first quater • Negotiate deals including purchase of equipments and appliances. • Complete sales training through IHG
