Daily Duties at Yara North America, Inc.:
Led and directed daily operations of 40 Import and Distribution facilities, 85 employees, third party logistics and stevedoring companies for both dry and liquid, nitrogen-based fertilizers (annual worth $500M). * Collaborated with senior management and department heads to establish corporate operational roadmap, goals, and objectives, and implemented change management initiatives and facilities expansion projects. * Standardized operation processes, production processes, and contracts to provide a uniform working environment across all facility types; improved operational and production processes. * Instituted performance metrics and ensured facilities aligned with company KPIs and performance goals. * Administered budget and monitored financial systems for profitability. * Conducted onsite visits to ensure maximum productivity and safety measures were in place, and sites were in compliance with corporate policies and all governmental agencies. * Identified, qualified, and negotiated contracts with third party companies. * Interfaced with US Coast Guard, Homeland Security, and other agencies insuring cooperative relationships, regulatory compliance, and proper cargo discharging.
