Daily Duties at Merck/Schering Plough:

Senior Pharmaceuticals Sales Representative / Sr District Sales Manager (October, '06 to March '10)  Providing sales leadership for the Tallahassee, FL S-P Cardiovascular and Allergy Sales Team.  Providing sales leadership for the Tallahassee, FL S-P Cardiovascular and Allergy Sales Team consisting of ten Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives (PSRs) in Northern Florida. Responsibilities include recruiting, developing and mentoring both tenured and newly hired PSRs. Additionally, to provide S-P Leader Behavior Attribute development within the realm of Career Leveling and other promotional development.  Providing support to the Tallahassee DM Leadership Team focusing on the Raise the Bar Characteristics of Leadership with the intent to Drive Business and Develop People. Developing innovative and impactful selling skills in the Statin, NIS and NSA sales arenas. Ensure the optimum performance of the data analysis adherence to regulatory, legal, and internal compliance requirements. Manage and maintain physician customer relationships with key providers ensuring both physician customer practice needs and patient care needs sales and sales service at all levels are being met, and are within compliance and industry ethics. Monitor call and sales objectives for each representative, manage budgetary and sample allotments for ROI and provide administrative support. Ensure selling processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are maintained to reflect proper adherence to Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA) requirements and the 2009 Pharma Guidelines. Additionally provide convention, speakers and thought leader development and support.  Work closely with Regional Sales Training to develop and implement continuous impactful training programs to ensure proper usage of sales resources.  Develop strategic cluster district business plans designed to support managed market pull-trough initiatives in clinical settings.  Oversee Field Sales Fleet Service functions comply with corporate policy.  Manage sample inventory and systems to ensure proper storage, transporting, and distribution. Work closely with Field Sales to maximize disbursements of Sample (to include Coupon and Voucher) Allocations.  Manage and maintain the accurate and timely reporting metrics for tracking performance progress, and provide report analysis to support incentive plan design.  Promoted 1 PSR to the S-P Oncology Division and 1 PSR into the Leadership Development Program and 1 PSR to District Trainer.
