Daily Duties at Aes/Actualize Consulting:

•Responsible for valuation of derivatives portfolio comprised of interest rate swap, FX transactions, commodities, and embedded derivatives using discounted cash flow method. Built and monitored valuation models and provided backup for business and auditor review. Produced all FAS 133 &157 accounting journal entries for world wide business, including A/L positions, P&L impact, OCI movements, mark to market valuations and per business forecasting and approved all balance sheet adjustments into General Ledger. Implemented fair value accounting for compliance with FAS 157 and developed and produced quarterly models, valuation input designation and SOX compliance. Provided model construction for all new IR, FX or embedded derivatives and produced FAS 133 compliance for documentation and built initial and quarterly effectiveness testing using regression. Implemented accounting, SOX and reporting controls and ensured FAS 133, FAS 157 compliance and due diligence through quarterly reporting and monitoring. In charge of AES contract accounting system (CATS) for contract and whitepaper organization. Validated valuations and accounting results for interest rate, foreign exchange, future, forward and option contracts. Developed full proof of concept for all clients including risk mitigation strategy, derivative pricing, effectiveness testing, and OCI release schedules. Assisted with implementation of derivative systems at multiple clients. Used Hedge RX to provide front-to-back office processing of foreign exchange, interest rate, energy, metal and agricultural derivatives and underlying exposures. Responsible for compliance with derivative accounting regulations FAS 133 and IAS 39 during derivatives implementation process. Developed month end reporting procedures and journal entries for derivative hedge accounting to ensure FAS compliance.
