Daily Duties at University Of Miss. Medical Center:
Collected and reviewed data and prepared a variety of reports and/or plans directed at preventing the spread of infection to patients, visitors and staff; provided other IP staff with interpretations of CDC definitions in relation to health care associated vs. community acquired infections; served as consultant to staff with regard to mock TJC surveys, best practice for procedures, compliance with all regulatory guidelines Served as senior staff technologist responsible for running a variety of clinical laboratory tests on neonatal patients in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and blood gas analysis; enjoyed collaborative relationship with NICU providers and staff; utilized infection prevention/handwashing practices in NICU/newborn setting
