Daily Duties at New Britain General Hospital/The Hospital Of Central Connecticut:
Staff nurse-provided patient care to medical surgical, medicine, oncology, and ICU patients. Case Manager-Assisted the uinsured & underindured by connecting them through state and federal programs that funded free preventative screning pap smears and mammograms for women over the age of 19. Collected and tracked data implemented both access and excel spread sheets that would justify the need for funding in the community. Wrote grants that would provide funding for needed services related to the pap smear & mammogram screenings tha were not covered by initial grant. Palliative care RN-Assisted Pallitive care APRN with providing end of life care including death with dignity based on patient's wishes. Responded to pain management consults and clinical suggestions to resolve complex patient pain issues via pain algorhythms. Provided home visits for patients that were too ill to come to hospital for check up or who have not received visiting nurses' services. collaberated with other palliative care programs throughout the state in order to improve services. Tracked data though access data sheets.
