Daily Duties at New York City Dept Of Education:

Assisted school administration in curriculum development and community outreach. Handled multiple concurrent responsibilities in a busy environment. Planned, implemented, coordinated, monitored and/or evaluated programs providing important community services. Prepared documents required for funding; organize and manage grant committee. Acted as liaison between outside organizations, school staff and administration. Coordinated school trips, outside visitors, community service, and inner-staff committees. • Played key role in creating a brand new curriculum for a program specific to the needs of HSCTEA students. • Played one of key roles in organizing and successfully carrying out the 2009 HSCTEA Career Fair. • Lead group guidance and counseling sessions with freshmen focusing on high school transition and various issues. • Organized and coordinate grant committees; help in preparation and submission of grant proposals • Provided technical assistance to school administration and teachers in program implementation, evaluation and management • Represented HSCTEA at Advisory Board meetings and works with board to explore innovative ideas and techniques for student instruction and development • Networked with professional organizations to obtain student intern-mentorships as well as stay abreast of current relevant information in regards to HSCTEA programs and instruction
