Daily Duties at Digital Systems, Inc. (Disys):

This two-year project to standardize the software between two merged companies, Lyondell and Basell, began with offices and chemical plants across the USA, then across Central and South America, APAC (China, Australia, India, etc.), and finally across Europe. The bulk of my efforts were in collecting and reviewing software and licensing information, making business decisions about which software would be packaged for SCCM deployment, replaced with existing software packages, or removed from the environment, and coordinating and assigning work to teams of Packaging Leads and Packagers. The project was both fast tracked and the schedule crashed to meet the accelerated timeline. *Achieved a cost avoidance of €1.1 million per month by completing the insourcing integration project three months early. *Successfully led team of software packaging leads to gather requirements, and develop and deliver software packages for integration of a large refinery site with 1,000 end-users. Facilitated meetings, tracked and reported on software status to management, and resolved issues. *Saved money and avoided costs by blending technical experience with understanding of business requirements and support models to make business decisions on keeping vs. eliminating applications from environment. Rationalized over 16,000 instances of applications out of the environment. *Improved team performance by training employees locally and as part of virtual teams from various sites across the USA, Europe, and Asia on processes, documentation procedures, and change management standards.
