Daily Duties at Clemson University:

Rolling resistance loss for Lunar Tweel® has been minimized by a parametric analysis in Abaqus Standard. (NASA Project) Various analyses have been carried on the Lunar Tweel®for an improved traction by controlling the contact pressure patch, and the tread profile using the concept of Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) analysis with Abaqus Explicit. (NASA Project) Use of Taguchi methods (orthogonal arrays) for optimizing geometric parameters of Tweel® to reduce vibrations during high speed rolling. The displacement of set of nodes is taken from the Abaqus Explicit analysis and is given as an input to the FFT (a mat lab code that is written by us) that gives us the frequency of vibration. (Michelin Project) Modeled an Indirect tensile Test for Asphalt Concrete specimen in Abaqus Standard by defining the asphalt concrete specimen as a non-linear visoelastic material and applying the suitable boundary conditions, as a validation to the physical experiment. Trained undergraduate students in Pro/Engineer Wild fire 4.0 and Solid Works 2008 with the introduction of modules like Solid modeling, Surface modeling, Sheet metal, Assembly and Drafting

What they like about Clemson University:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
